Lei Jun’s company has officially confirmed the launch of Xiaomi Smart Tag, the brand’s first locator: it’s a gadget that has been the subject of much chatter for years and that is finally coming into the hands of Mi Fans. Its existence is now becoming quite concrete thanks to the pre-order on Amazon, which officially confirms the design and price!
The new Xiaomi Smart Tag is available on Amazon for €17.9: the device is on pre-order with a release date set for February 27 and free delivery for Monday 2 March (ordering now). It is specified that this is the 1-pack, so the retailer should also make the 4-tag pack available.
The device is compatible with Apple Find My and with Google Find Hub, positioning itself as the budget choice for those looking for an affordable smart tag but from a well-known brand. Therefore it can be used on both Android and iPhone smartphones, with no platform-related limitations.
Among other features there is a light weight (only 10 grams), up to 1 year of autonomy and the IP67 rating against dust and liquids. To learn more here are all the details leaked so far.
