We return to talk about Redmi K90 Ultra, with the first rumors from the start of the year. Now that Xiaomi’s flagship series is complete, the Chinese brand can fully focus on the other Ultra addition: according to the latest news this time there would be a change in the company’s strategy, with features that could also concern Western Mi Fans and the upcoming Xiaomi 17T Pro.

New details on Redmi K90 Ultra: plenty of power, a touch of Gaming Phone, and extra-large battery

Not a secret that our T-series models are inspired by the phones of the Redmi K Ultra family. With Xiaomi 15T Pro we have witnessed a design change, the addition of a third camera sensor and Leica optics, along with a smaller battery (typical of the transition from China to Global markets).

As for the new Redmi K90 Ultra, it should be the base for Xiaomi 17T Pro – so it’s worth keeping an eye on. The latest news comes from the insider Digital Chat Station: the flagship would be powered directly by the Dimensity 9500 and not from a “Plus” version. This year MediaTek would have decided on a different approach and it seems they will not launch an overclocked 9500+.

Moreover it seems we will have an addition aimed at Gaming Phones, namely an internal cooling fan. To power it all, a capacious battery of 8,500 mAh with 100W charging. Below you will find a first draft of the specs, which would be partly shared with Xiaomi 17T Pro.

Recently there has been talk of Xiaomi 17T vanilla and the possible differences, along with battery details that emerged from HyperOS code.
