Redmi A7 with a giant display and 120 Hz: what we know about the new Xiaomi budget phone

In the past few hours Xiaomi announced the date of February’s event, dedicated to the new international flagship devices. However there will also be other surprises and launches will continue over the coming months. During the year the Chinese company will also bolster the low-budget segment with Redmi A7 and A7 Pro, 4G-only devices with modest specifications and an affordable price.

Still another budget phone for Xiaomi: Redmi A7 has been certified and will arrive together with the bigger brother Pro

Earlier it emerged the existence of Redmi A7 Pro, with a double confirmation: on one side the generational leap from the previous A5, while on the other the presence of a Pro model. And now, thanks to the NBTC certification, we know that the budget phones coming will indeed be two.

The device 26020RNB4A has been certified both with the code and the commercial name: it is exactly the Redmi A7 base in the Global version, ready for debut soon. The phone will also arrive in Europe while in some markets it should debut as POCO C81 (together with C81 Pro).

A leak reveals the overview of the specifications but at the moment the differences between the standard version and the bigger brother are not yet clear. Also the latest rumors mention the presence of Android 16 and HyperOS 3, while the previous A5 was launched with Android 15 Go – lightweight software designed specifically for low-cost devices.
