With the arrival of February 2026 security patch details, the Asian manufacturer has confirmed which models will receive the month’s updates. The official list has been updated and three well-known names are missing: Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra have officially reached the end of support and will no longer receive software updates.
The South Korean company is among the most attentive when it comes to updates for its interface and periodically publishes the updated list of supported devices. With February’s arrival, the stop for the former flagship Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra has been confirmed.
The 2021 flagship models will no longer receive updates, neither Android nor security patches. This is not an extraordinary event, but normal administration: Samsung had promised 4 years of updates, and that is how it has been.
The current update policy goes up to 7 years, but it was introduced in 2024 – it makes an exception for Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition, with the promise of 8 years. Note that the S21 series is not dead yet: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was launched a year later, so support will end in January 2027.
There was also a change for the Galaxy S22 series: Samsung moved the triad (base, Plus and Ultra) into the quarterly update program.
