The market for compact smartphones is about to welcome a new player. In the last few hours, the first live images of OnePlus 15T have leaked, the device that promises to bring the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite to a pocket-sized form factor.
The successor to the well-received OnePlus 13T seems, however, to want to break with the past, abandoning the previous design in favor of a rectangular camera module that closely resembles Cupertino’s Pro models.
In the image on the right and the cover image you can see the images dedicated to OnePlus 13T, the current compact flagship of the Chinese brand. The newcomer is the device on the left: the OnePlus 15T seems to opt for a design change, with a large, rectangular camera module (with rounded edges) — a style similar to the latest iPhone Pro models, as also emphasized at the opening.
Once again there is a dual camera, flanked by the LED flash. In addition to the first live photo, new rumors about the camera arrive: rumors of an underwhelming package, as it would be identical to that of the 13T.
Consequently we should have a main sensor 50 MP LYT-700 with OIS, accompanied by a 50 MP telephoto lens (not periscopic) with the Samsung JN5 sensor. The only novelty would be the telephoto aperture, which is expected to move from f/2.0 to f/2.8.
The launch is expected for the month of March: the device will arrive in China but should also debut in a Global version as OnePlus 15s.
