Not only Max: what we know about Redmi Turbo 5, spotted on Geekbench

Xiaomi continues to enrich its 2026 lineup, both in China and globally. The upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 should unite two worlds, arriving both in its homeland and international markets with POCO: it has now become a tradition when talking about the two brands of Lei Jun’s company.

Recently the Turbo model has been spotted on Geekbench, with the first details on the specifications. Certainly a welcomed step forward, given that Xiaomi’s communication – on the Chinese official channels – has put the Turbo 5 Max at the center of the scene.

The Max version will be the flagship of the range, with the Dimensity 9500s and a massive 9,000 mAh battery. However the Redmi Turbo 5 “plain” won’t be any less, according to various leaks.

The phone appeared in early benchmarks with the code 2511FRT34C: on board we find 16 GB of RAM, Android 16 and the Dimensity 8500. This is MediaTek’s latest mid-range SoC, built on a 4 nm process with All Big Core architecture, a maximum frequency of 3,4 GHz and a GPU with ray tracing support.

The launch is expected by the end of January, so only an official announcement from the brand remains. Redmi Turbo 5 Max would already have a global counterpart, namely POCO X8 Pro Max (certified in recent weeks). At this point it is likely that the Turbo 5 version could arrive here as the POCO X8 Pro.
