The A6 lineup continues to expand globally as well, this time with two mirror models. OPPO A6 4G and A6 5G have been launched internationally with the same design and specifications, with the exception of the chipset — which varies depending on the preferred connectivity type.
The budget phones, or at least one of the two, could also find space here, so we are waiting for news and in the meantime here’s what we can expect.
The design of the new OPPO A6 4G and 5G does not deviate too much from that of the A6 Pro, launched in Italy last October and featured in our review. The back hosts a squared camera module (with rounded corners); inside a dual-camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor and the LED flash.
On the front there is a 6.75″ HD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a punch hole for the 8 MP selfie camera. The battery life is entrusted to a 7,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging; a sour note is the software, still based on Android 15 (ColorOS 15).
The specifications of the two smartphones are identical, with the exception of the chipset: the LTE model uses the evergreen Snapdragon 685 while the 5G variant moves to MediaTek with the Dimensity 6300. Another difference concerns the colors; the two phones share the blue hue while Aurora Gold and Sakura Pink are exclusive.
Despite the Global announcement, at the moment the company has not yet revealed the price and availability of OPPO A6. We will probably learn more in the coming weeks: a release in Italy cannot be ruled out, since the previous A5 also arrived here.
