iQOO 15 Ultra will have the biggest cooling fan ever

After the launch of the iQOO 15 series that took place in China last October, and soon followed by debuts on several international markets, the Vivo sub-brand seems ready to drop its ace from its sleeve.

According to the latest rumors leaked by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station on the platform Weibo, the company is in the advanced stages of development of the new iQOO 15 Ultra.

Rumors suggest that the iQOO 15 Ultra will integrate a cooling fan, marking a clear departure from the traditional passive cooling solutions that dominate the current flagship market, save for rare exceptions.

However, this is not just any fan: sources indicate that it will be the largest ever installed inside a smartphone, designed to offer the best thermal efficiency in the industry.

The goal of this implementation is as ambitious as it is concrete. iQOO intends to demonstrate that, thanks to superior heat dissipation, the processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powering the device will operate at performance levels comparable to those of next-generation chipsets.

An “Ultra” different from the usual

The philosophy behind the iQOO 15 Ultra was partly previewed by Luo Feng, Vice President of iQOO Products. During an interview given at the launch of the 15 series, the executive had confirmed the existence of an even higher-end variant, currently in refinement.

Feng described this device as an gaming productivity tool, intended for a specific niche of users who require not only brute power, but operational stability under heavy workloads.

Unlike many models of the competition’s “Ultra” line, which often concentrate their innovations almost exclusively on the camera segment, iQOO’s proposal bets everything on the consistency of performance.

The device is described as the first sector flagship “Ultra” focused purely on performance. In addition to the active fan, the phone’s futuristic design will also integrate back-mounted shoulder buttons, effectively turning the smartphone into a portable console ideal for competitive gaming sessions.

No-compromise specs and imminent debut

To support a visual experience on par with the device’s computing power, the iQOO 15 Ultra will inherit the top-tier display panel already seen on the standard model, a Samsung-made component expected to also be used on the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Users will face a 6.85-inch screen with a resolution of 3,168 x 1,440 pixels.

The display specifications are impressive: a refresh rate that reaches 144 Hz for absolute smoothness and a peak brightness that hits 6,000 nits. Under the hood, as mentioned, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor will power it.

The wait to see this beast in action won’t be long. The rumors set the launch window before February 17, in step with the Chinese Spring Festival.
