Android 16 available for these ASUS and ROG smartphones
It is recommended to back up your data before updating to Android 16.
The system has been updated to Android 16.
The system navigation settings have been adjusted. The Predictive Back animation can be activated either from the Back gesture or by long-pressing the Back button.
The “skip countdown” button has been added to the screen recording function.
In Phone info > Status, users can long-press on the IMEI field or the serial number to copy the content.
Some third-party apps are not yet compatible with Android 16.

After kicking off the beta program for its latest flagship models, the Asian manufacturer has begun the stable release of Android 16. The latest version of the Android OS arrives on board the ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra and ROG Phone 9: here are all the details and how to check for the download.

As usual, the update is distributed incrementally, so it will not be available to everyone at the same time. To check for the update, go to Settings, System and then System updates: if available you will be able to download Android 16 for your ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra or ROG Phone 9.
The firmware is the version 36.0810.1810.43 and arrives with a sizeable size, as this is a major Android update. Nevertheless, no substantial new features or UI overhauls are introduced, but various improvements and small additions. Below you will find the full changelog:
