Xiaomi has unveiled in China the new Mijia Body Fat Scale 4 Pro, which marks a significant shift for the Mijia scale line: it is, in fact, the first to feature a rechargeable battery, thereby eliminating the need to periodically replace traditional batteries.

The scale integrates a rechargeable lithium battery via USB-C port, with a claimed up to 150 days of autonomy on a single charge. To perform measurements, the device uses a dual-frequency bioimpedance system, with a correlation reported by the company to be above 0.93 compared to DEXA (the reference test for body composition analysis).
Among the smart features, Mijia Body Fat Scale 4 Pro offers trend data tracking to monitor over time changes in body measurements, as well as a mode dedicated to pet weight.
The crowdfunding launch on the Chinese market is scheduled from September 21 to 23, via Youpin, at a promotional price of 129 yuan, equal to about €17 at the current exchange rate. The suggested list price at the end of the crowdfunding phase will be 199 yuan, equal to about €26.
In Italy there is the Xiaomi Smart Scale S200
In Italy, the Xiaomi Smart Scale S200 is currently on sale, and unlike the new Mijia Body Fat Scale 4 Pro, it continues to rely on traditional charging (with battery replacements). The smart scale is offered at €17, directly in the brand’s official store.
