Only a few hours have passed since the launch event for Samsung’s new smartphones, but here Honor’s rivalry heats up against Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The new Ultra model is the direct successor to the Z Fold 7: this year the company introduced its first wide smartphone, simply called Z Fold 8. Hence the need to distinguish the big brother and the introduction of the term “Ultra”, already in use with the Galaxy S series.
But Honor didn’t like this at all and in the latest posts published on official social channels it teases the rival brand for the “improper” use of the Ultra attribute.
Honor Magic V6 against Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: the Chinese company trolls the rival on social media

Not by chance the posts feature the hashtag #TheRealUltra, decisively explanatory of Honor’s intentions. In the images, the Chinese house teases the rival’s technological feats. For the first time Samsung has introduced silicon-carbon batteries, solutions used for years by all Chinese brands.
Despite the notable delay, the Korean company opted for a cautious approach, packing a 5,000 mAh unit on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Hence the taunt from Honor, given the 6.660 mAh of itsMagic V6.

Even the new 45W fast charging has come under the Chinese brand’s scrutiny: Samsung’s new foldable finally moves past 25W to make the leap in quality, but Honor has something to say. The second poster is dedicated to its 80W charging, able to take the Magic V6’s battery from 0 to 72% in just 30 minutes.
Probably in the coming days, more images will also arrive: I wonder if Samsung will respond to its rival or if it will take the hit without batting an eye.
For the sake of accuracy, let’s note that even the Korean brand is accustomed to mockery: at the center of the taunts there has always been Apple, especially due to the absence of a foldable. Of course the videos have been removed, but fortunately we have the memory of an elephant.
