One of the most annoying limits that characterizes most washer-dryers is the water tanks. Design and materials
The first thing you notice once the JONR ED12 is assembled is its lightness: weighing around 3.6 kg and with a fairly compact frame, it is among the most maneuverable washer-dryers on the market. And that’s despite arriving with larger water containers, all placed on the vertical axis: the clean water container is 850 ml, while the dirty water one is 450 ml.
Now, to give you an idea, in the same price range you could find the Tineco iFloor 3, which is equipped with a clean-water tank of 600 ml. You will understand, therefore, that the capacity of the JONR ED12 is among the largest in the segment, and this is a feature that in everyday use makes a difference.

In short, better-organized spaces have led to greater capacity and have at least mitigated the need to empty and refill the water multiple times during a single cleaning.
Given its budget nature, the JONR ED12 does not include a true display, but on the front, just above the dirty water container, a simple indicator of remaining battery life has been added. Let’s be clear: we’re talking about a product that on sale costs less than 190 euros and the lack of a display is more than natural in this price range, but considering the position of the clean-water tank the brand could not have done otherwise: even if they had wanted to include a display, they would still have had to place it on the front, which would have made it rather useless.
Very traditional control buttons, which have been placed on the handle and which serve not only to turn the device on and off but also to change the suction power and to activate the self-cleaning mode that we’ll discuss shortly.
Also the brush is not bad for a washer-dryer under 200 euros. The roller has been designed to minimize thickness along the right edge and yes, it’s not a new idea, but it’s very important to be able to clean along the baseboards or furniture edges without difficulty. And in this, the JONR ED12 does an excellent job.
Furthermore, the motorized brush is assisted by a water-distribution system composed of 40 small nozzles spread along the entire structure (the category average is 16 nozzles), which not only improves the self-cleaning phase, making it faster and more evenly cleaning the roller, but also prevents the formation of those annoying halos on the floor that occur when you clean with a roller that is only partially wet.
For the rest, all components are easily removable and washable, both manually and via the automated process (we’ll see this in more detail later) and the brush can be removed easily through a lateral release mechanism. This again confirms the ease of use and cleaning.
Suction and washing
Powering the JONR ED12 is a 6000 Pa motor that is managed with the typical modes of a washer-dryer. It is a device designed to suck up water and solid residues while simultaneously washing surfaces and, for this reason, cannot be used in dry-cleaning mode.
The battery of the JONR ED12 is able to provide about 30 minutes of cleaning in standard mode, which becomes a little over 15 when using turbo mode. Not “miracle” performance, it’s true, but it is still a range that will allow cleaning an apartment of about 70/80 square meters with a single charge.
