Rumors regarding devices slated for release this fall are intensifying month after month, and attention is now focused on the next member of the company’s Fan Edition line.

The well-known Geekbench portal’s database has recently recorded the passage of a smartphone identified by the code SM-S741B. This specific identifier is attributed to the global variant of Samsung’s new mid-to-high-end device.

Carefully analyzing the specifications revealed by the test, one clearly notices the presence of the motherboard S5E9955, a detail that directly points to the adoption of the Exynos 2500.

The internal storage configuration indicated by the tests stands at 8 GB of RAM, a quantity now considered the optimal standard to ensure a fluid and responsive user experience, even during demanding applications.

The pre-installed operating system at the time of the test is Android 17, a detail that aligns the device with the latest generation software standards.

Comparing these new numerical results with those that emerged in spring for the model intended for other markets (identified by the SM-S741U acronym), the measured performance appears marginally lower.

The device has in fact scored 2.104 points in the single-core test and 7.148 points in the multi-core test. This slight dip in benchmark numbers is a fairly common phenomenon and could simply be attributable to the use of a provisional software not yet fully refined, a circumstance typical for products still in the optimization phase before mass production.

Aesthetics in line with the main series

Alongside the purely performance-related data, additional valuable information regarding the appearance of the device emerges, this time from registrations filed with the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). The aesthetic language adopted by the brand seems to aim at maintaining a very strong visual coherence with the bigger siblings of the main lineup.

The rear shell, according to what has leaked, will mirror the clean lines and minimalist shapes already introduced with the other members of the lineup, such as the Samsung Galaxy S26.

The camera module will preserve the traditional arrangement of three sensors, a configuration widely tested that ensures considerable flexibility for digital photography enthusiasts.

The calendar of presentations points straight to the month of September, a period traditionally busy for mobile announcements.

The introduction of a new Fan Edition model represents a key milestone for the company, which aims to target a specific consumer segment: those who want access to high-end technologies without necessarily facing the financial investment required for flagship models.
