vivo X Fold 6 is already official in China since June, but the vivo foldable is now approaching its international debut in markets: the device, with model number V2559, would have appeared on Geekbench in the global version, a step that usually foreshadows a launch outside Chinese borders. The most important data for the Italian audience is, however, another: the vivo X Fold 6 will arrive in Italy by the end of 2026.
The test confirms the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, identified by the model number MT6993, paired with 12 GB of RAM. On Geekbench 7, the device would have scored 1,710 points in single-core and 5,977 points in multi-core, numbers consistent with what is expected for the top-tier MediaTek chipset.
A notable detail regarding the operating system: the global variant already runs with Android 17, while the Chinese model had been launched in June with Android 16 and the OriginOS 6 Fold interface.
This makes Vivo X Fold 6 one of the brand’s first smartphones to appear with the latest version of Android, a sign of an international launch probably more up-to-date than the Chinese debut.
Besides the Geekbench test, the vivo X Fold 6 has already obtained certifications in several Southeast Asian markets: SDPPI in Indonesia, SIRIM in Malaysia and NBTC in Thailand. The global launch seems, however, destined to slip at least to October, since vivo’s priority would remain on the presentation of the X500 series in China, expected for September 21.
As confirmed by the company itself, vivo X Fold 6 will arrive in Italy by the end of the year: the only thing left to do is to wait, while on the hardware side it seems that no changes nor cuts to the battery are planned.
