Sony updates its wireless headphones offering across three distinct price tiers, from the premium segment to the entry level. At the top of the range arrives WH-1000XM4C, which inherits the 1000X noise-cancellation technology that made the series famous, while WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 update the mid-range and entry-level respectively. All three models are already available for purchase: here are the details and price in Italy.
The WH-1000XM4C model features a foldable over-ear design weighing only 253 grams, designed for everyday use and easy transport, with a case included in the box. The claimed autonomy reaches up to 27 hours, while multipoint connectivity lets you pair the headphones to two devices at the same time, switching between them without having to re-pair each time.
Among the available features stands out a fully customizable 10-band equalizer, allowing you to tailor the sound output to your preferences. The model is offered in Black, Platinum Silver and Lavender, at a price of 249€ on Amazon
On the mid-range, WH-CH730N weighs 207 grams and adopts the Dual Noise Sensor system for noise cancellation, with two microphones per earcup and an ambient sound mode adjustable across 20 levels. The autonomy reaches up to 50 hours with active cancellation, with the possibility of getting one hour of playback with only 3 minutes of charging.
On the audio front, the model integrates DSEE technology for restoring compressed high frequencies, a 10-band equalizer and support for 360 Reality Audio. The model also supports multipoint connection, LE Audio protocol and Fast Pairing for quick pairing, while for calls it includes beamforming microphones with AI processing to isolate the voice from background noise, including wind.
WH-CH730N is available in White, Pink, Blue, Black and Beige, at a price of 119€ on Amazon.
To cap off the refresh of the lineup is the WH-CH530, designed for those seeking a more compact and affordable product. The model adopts a lightweight on-ear design with soft padding for extended comfort, and offers neural-network-based AI noise reduction, for listening to music as well as for calls.
The claimed battery life goes up to 55 hours, with 3 minutes of charging enough for 1.5 hours of listening. This model also features DSEE technology, a 10-band equalizer, and support for 360 Reality Audio, in addition to multipoint connectivity and Auracast audio for sharing with other compatible devices.
WH-CH530 also includes five adjustable volume levels to customize the listening experience, and is offered in cobalt, Coral Pink, Mint, Pink, White and Black at the price of 59€ on Amazon.
