Navimow H5 Pro at IFA 2026: a robotic arm to refine every edge of the lawn

Anyone who owns a robotic lawn mower knows well its most common limitation: edge management, often left incomplete and to be finished by hand with a trimmer.

Segway Navimow aims to definitively close this chapter with Navimow H5 Pro, unveiled at IFA 2026: the new model introduces the extendable robotic arm EdgeMaestro, designed to reach the lawn edge flush, leaving no uncut areas and eliminating the need for manual intervention.

The heart of Navimow H5 Pro’s innovation is the extendable robotic arm EdgeMaestro, capable of extending up to 7.7 cm to bring the cutting system exactly up to the edge of the lawn, even in the presence of flower beds, tight curves or complex configurations.

Supporting it is an Omnidirectional Floating Arm, which adapts to vertical unevenness and absorbs impacts against lateral obstacles such as garden lights, keeping the cutting disc in contact with the ground; a Rake Module channels the grass along the edge toward the blade, while two dedicated guide wheels reduce friction along the perimeter. An important detail: the disc used to finish the edges is the same one used for the rest of the lawn, not a separate accessory, ensuring uniform results both on straight edges and in the more irregular areas.

The edge care also focuses on safety and quiet operation: the cutting disc includes a protection that reduces grass splashes and debris, while a tilt/unevenness detection system prevents the robot from tipping over during work along the lawn borders.

With only 58 dB(A) of noise during edge cutting, Navimow H5 Pro can work in the early morning or in the evening without disturbing the home or neighbors. Coordinating everything is the EdgeSense 2.0 algorithm, which adapts the robot’s behavior to different boundary types, from rigid edges to transitions between different surfaces, also handling direction changes and complex shapes.

On the mobility front, Navimow H5 Pro adopts all-wheel drive Xero-Turn All-Wheel Drive (AWD), which allows it to tackle slopes up to 80% (38.6°).

Four independent motors integrated directly into the wheels eliminate traditional drive shafts and differentials, allowing more precise torque control; paired with the rear suspension, the wheels maintain contact with the ground even on irregular surfaces, allowing to overcome obstacles up to 6 cm, potholes and gravel paths without getting stuck.

The dual-mode steering system alternates between in-place rotation (zero-turn), designed to protect the turf, and a more car-like steering mode to improve maneuverability and reduce the risk of ruts in the grass.

To guide the robot in the most complex gardens, the EFLS Tri-fusion system comes into play, which combines LiDAR, computer vision and dynamic NRTK navigation: the three technologies work together, dynamically adapting to the environment and selecting at any time the most effective navigation strategy.

Beyond performance, Navimow H5 Pro focuses on a wildlife protection system that the brand defines as an integral, not accessory, part of its innovation.

The VisionFence system combines 360° optical vision with a thermal infrared sensor, capable of identifying small animals even in low-light conditions and during nighttime hours: when it detects a possible presence of an animal, the robot stops cutting and changes its path. The focus is particularly on hedgehogs, more vulnerable than other animals because, when faced with a threat, they tend to curl up instead of moving away.

On this front, Navimow has also started a one-year collaboration with Igelhilfe Schulzendorf e.V., a German organization specialized in rescue, rehabilitation and awareness of hedgehog protection, supporting their rescue activities and contributing to the evaluation of animal-detection technologies.

The brand also invites users to set, directly from the Navimow app, a small patch of lawn as a No-go zone, turning it into a little “wild corner” that serves as a natural refuge for hedgehogs and other small animals.

Navimow H5 Pro at IFA 2026: where to find it

Navimow H5 Pro debuts alongside the X4, H2, i2 and Terranox series already in the brand catalog, which today covers solutions for residential and professional lawns of any size and complexity. The model will be on display from September 4 to 8, 2026 at Hall 9, Stand 121 of Messe Berlin, for the German tech fair.
