Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra pass 3C certification: what it reveals about charging

After rumors in the past weeks about design and cameras, Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra now appear in the Chinese certification database 3C, the step that usually precedes by several months the official announcement of the flagship. The most concrete data concerns charging, with both models seemingly confirming the power already seen on the previous generation.

Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra in 3C certification: model numbers and fast charging

In the documentation appear model numbers SM-S9570 for Galaxy S27 Pro and SM-S9580 for Galaxy S27 Ultra, both associated with a fast charging of 60W. If confirmed, the data would align the two high-end models: according to what has leaked so far, the base Galaxy S27 would top out at 27W and the Galaxy S27+ at 45W (both have been certified by the 3C authority). All models should nonetheless feature both wireless charging and reverse charging.

Galaxy S27 Pro, the first ‘Pro’ flagship in the S series

One detail that goes beyond the simple spec sheet concerns the very existence of the Galaxy S27 Pro: it would be the first time Samsung introduces a model with the ‘Pro’ designation within the S series, which so far has always developed across only three levels (base, Plus, Ultra).

A choice that, together with what has already emerged from design leaks, seems to confirm Samsung’s intention to redesign the structure of the lineup for 2027.

A launch window still uncertain, between January and February 2027

Timing for the launch remains discordant. The fact that the 3C certification arrived earlier than the S26 cycle, which launched in February 2026 after a January certification, would suggest a debut by January 2027 for the Galaxy S27.

However, the rumors gathered in recent weeks had pointed more toward February 2027 as the most probable window.

On the chipset front, what was said before remains valid: rumors continue to talk about a distribution between Exynos 2700 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro depending on the market, although some sources speak of a possible return to Exynos even for the Ultra model.
