After leaks that revealed the design Galaxy Buds Canal with an ear hook and hinted at Samsung’s first open-ear debut, comes now another piece.
The Asian giant plans to renew its range of earbuds with the new Galaxy Buds On (internally known as Galaxy Buds Able). The leaked images show what the design of the next open-ear clip-on style could look like.
Unlike traditional models, this shape hooks around the outer ear, avoiding the pressure of silicone cushions inside the ear canal.
The images shared by SammyGuru and @thatjoshguy69 show a flat surface dedicated to touch controls and a rounded ergonomic-design section.
The Galaxy Buds On would be available in two colors, black and white. According to leaks, the earbuds would not support either 360° audio or ANC technology.
On the software side, they would inherit head-gesture support already introduced on the Buds 4 series, as well as features like Volume Boost. They would also include voice memos activated by gestures (with automatic summaries based on Galaxy AI) and automatic pause when sleep is detected.
Integration with Bixby and with Google Gemini is also confirmed, in line with Samsung’s strategy for voice assistants.
