HyperOS 4 expands the pool of devices involved in the global beta of the Android 17-based interface: after the first phase dedicated to flagship models, the beta program now opens to Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The expansion comes just days after the launch of the first phase of the global beta, which involved Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitzphone: we discussed this in a previous article, dedicated precisely to opening registrations for Europe. Now Xiaomi broadens the pool of devices eligible for the program, also including the 17T series and the 15 series.
The HyperOS 4 global beta is now available exclusively for devices running Global and EEA software versions. Those interested in trying Android 17 in preview and the new UI design can apply directly via the Xiaomi Community app.
For more details, this article explains all the steps on how to participate in the HyperOS beta program.
Even for this new wave of devices, the main novelties remain those already introduced with the first beta phase: the new Soft Light Glass design, with realistic light refraction effects and dynamic blur, together with system-level security optimizations, improved app launch mechanics, and enhanced resource management.
Xiaomi reminds that, being a firmware still actively under development, those who sign up for the beta should expect possible stability issues (as usual in these cases).
