According to information leaked in the last few hours, OPPO is currently working on the new Find X10 Ultra, with a particular emphasis on developing the photographic hardware sector.
Rumors indicate that the brand is testing two sensors of 50MP for the second telephoto lens, dedicated to the 10x optical zoom.
The final choice has not yet been made, but the technical specifications of both options suggest a notable step forward for the sharpness and the quality of long-distance shots.
According to the well-known informant Digital Chat Station on the Weibo platform, OPPO is carefully evaluating which hardware element to integrate to handle the 10x optical zoom on its upcoming flagship device.
The two options on the table for this specific module are Samsung ISOCELL GNB and the OmniVision OV51A. Both sensors share basically identical base specifications: they offer a resolution of 50MP and come in a format of 1/1.95″.
Furthermore, both solutions support advanced macro functionalities via the telephoto optics.
At the moment, the exact technical differences between the two competing models are not clear, but the manufacturer is conducting rigorous tests before making a final decision. Regardless of which component will be selected, the preliminary theoretical data look extremely promising.
Looking at the already excellent OPPO Find X9 Ultra, the anticipated jump in quality for the new generation is clearly evident. The previous model features a 50MP telephoto lens for the 10x optical zoom, but relies on a sensor with dimensions of 1/2.75“.
The move to the 1/1.95″ format estimated for the Find X10 Ultra will ensure a much larger light capture surface.
In addition to this module, unofficial information indicates that the new device will also host a telephoto lens of 200MP for closer magnifications, with a format of 1/1.3″ or 1/1.12″. This represents a substantial dimensional increase compared to the 1/1.28″ sensor used for the 3x zoom on the X9 Ultra.
The company is therefore weighing two distinct options for each of the telephoto lenses, seeking the perfect balance.
Despite the emergence of these precise details, the official launch of the new premium smartphone still appears distant. The Find X9 Ultra was announced in April and became available in May.
Considering this specific annual release window, there are still several months before the commercial debut of its direct successor.
The long wait suggests that the device is in full internal development and that further confirmations will inevitably come in the coming months.
