The new Redmi Note 17 series is about to cross the Chinese borders (much earlier than usual) and now here comes yet another hint. The standard model has appeared on Geekbench with the initial results and a possible confirmation of the specifications for Global markets: here’s what we can expect from the upcoming mid-range.
The first benchmarks of the phone seem to confirm a direct port of the Chinese version, at least with regard to the chipset. The device, listed under the code 26021RN18I, runs the Qualcomm SM4450 chipset with a maximum frequency of 2.3 GHz.
It is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, exactly the same SoC that powers the Chinese Redmi Note 17. Among other features we find 8 GB of RAM and Android 16 on the software side, while the results are 950 and 2,324 points — respectively in single-core and multi-core.
At the moment Redmi Note 17 does not yet have an official Global release date, although in recent days an insider revealed that the launch could take place on August 6 (in India). This leak seems plausible, given also the appearance of the device on Geekbench. However, as usual, the final word belongs to Xiaomi, so we stay tuned for updates.
