POCO M8 Power promises endless battery life and plenty of style

A new mid-range Xiaomi device is nearing its debut, featuring an endless battery life and an orange chassis (perfect for summer). Lei Jun’s company has teased the launch — for now only in India — of POCO M8 Power, a device at the center of a leak in recent days: the first official teasers reveal some of its features, but perhaps we already know everything.

As we write this, the posts published on the brand’s social channels are limited to teasing enthusiasts. A glimpse of the back and the cameras is shown, just enough to hint at a pair of sensors with the LED flash and a large rectangular island (which occupies a good portion of the upper part of the chassis).

The front panel hosts a wide screen, with a punch-hole for the selfie camera. The new POCO M8 Power 5G will boast infinite battery life, according to teasers, but at the moment Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the battery capacity.

The launch doesn’t have a date yet: the mid-range is likely to be announced by the end of July or, at most, in the first few days of August. For now, we’re talking about the Global model for India, and there are no details yet for Europe.

In Italy, both POCO M8 and M8 Pro have arrived, so it’s not out of the question that the new Power variant could also find room.

Tira aria di rebrand

According to recently leaked rumors, POCO M8 Power should be a rebrand of Redmi Note 17: the Redmi-branded cousin was launched in China in mid-July (along with the bigger Pro). We expect it to arrive also in an international version, but it should also make its debut under the POCO banner.
