Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new Global mid-range: POCO M8 Power 5G has a launch date and promises plenty of style and a giant battery for endless autonomy. Let’s take stock with an almost complete spec sheet, since — probably — it will be a rebrand arriving from Redmi.
The launch date for POCO M8 Power is set for 4 August: for now the debut is expected in India and there are no details yet on a release at our latitude. As previously noted, the new POCO should be a rebrand of Redmi Note 17 (freshly launched in China) and consequently the specifications would already be known.
Beyond the release date, Xiaomi has also shown the design of the new POCO: the mid-range will debut with a large rectangular island housing the dual camera and the LED flash. It will also be available in orange, a bold and fresh color, perfect for summer.
We already know that the phone features a centered punch-hole display and now we know it will be an AMOLED panel.
Finally, among the confirmed features there is also an 8,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, with the promise of up to 3 days of autonomy.
