The future of OPPO will be in line with that of OnePlus and Realme: according to the latest rumors, even the parent company will join the Battery Phone party, unleashing a beast of a full 10,000 mAh.
It is a milestone already reached by the other two brands of the company and now, it seems that the time has come for OPPO as well. The first smartphone with a colossal battery won’t be a flagship but will start from a mid-range in the A-series, at least according to what a well-known Chinese insider revealed.
The first smartphone with a 10,000 mAh battery is expected to debut as OPPO A7 Pro Max, a designation that is now widely used by Chinese brands (after a long period of exclusivity on the part of Cupertino). We discussed the unannounced Pro Max in the days past and now the device, or the presumed one, has been spotted on Geekbench.
The phone appears with the code PYC110, without a commercial name; the first benchmarks cast the spotlight on the specifications, adding some details to what leaked previously.
The smartphone should mount a chipset Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, a budget solution launched in May. It is an octa-core SoC built on a 4 nm process and equipped with two main cores up to 2.4 GHz (Cortex-A78), accompanied by 6 efficiency cores (Cortex-A55 up to 2 GHz).
From the benchmarks there are also 12 GB of RAM and the presence of Android 16. The presumed OPPO A7 Pro Max has totalled 976 points in single-core and 2,250 points in multi-core.
As highlighted within the article, the new smartphone has been the subject of a previous leak, with various technical details. The front panel should offer a flat 6.78″ 1.5K OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The camera system would rely on a 50 MP sensor but the real peculiarity would be its giant 10,000 mAh battery (with 80W fast charging).
OPPO A7 Pro Max is expected for the month of September and it remains to be seen whether it will also arrive in Italy. It is not to be ruled out but, given European regulatory limits, it is likely that it will launch with a less powerful battery.
