The first OPPO with 10,000 mAh? It’s coming and will be part of the A series

After churning out a flood of devices for the A6 series, it seems the Chinese manufacturer has now reached the end of the line. However, this does not mean a stop: now it’s time to discover what the next generation holds, and according to a well-known insider, we can expect two new developments.

In the future of the series there will be the OPPO A7 Pro Max, the first to bear such a name; moreover it will be an over-the-top Battery Phone!

According to Digital Chat Station, a Chinese insider we know well, the mysterious next-generation Pro Max could be the first OPPO with a 10,000 mAh battery. We are talking about a silicon-carbon cell with an abnormally large capacity, unusual but not an absolute novelty.

Actually, the manufacturer has long been experimenting with extra-large batteries: OPPO has kept a cautious approach, gradually pushing toward 7,000 mAh, while Realme and OnePlus have felt free to push broader boundaries.

Realme P4 Power and its twin Narzo Power were the first brand models with a super battery of 10.001 mAh, while the “little” Narzo C100x appeared with a solution of 8,000 mAh. Meanwhile OnePlus Nord 6 has reached 9,000 mAh, a record for the series.

Display, cameras and SoC

As for the OPPO A7 Pro Max specs, the device is expected to mount a flat 6.78″ OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It would feature a dual-camera system of 50 + 2 MP and a 50 MP selfie sensor, while on charging, 80W support is rumored.

Despite the giant battery, the phone would have a thickness of 8.47 mm and a weight of 226 grams. The chipset should be the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, announced by Qualcomm in May, but there are no hints on RAM and storage.

Release window

For the moment details on the release window are missing. Based on the predecessor, it is likely that the OPPO A7 Pro Max launch is set for September, at least for the Global debut. The current A6 Pro was announced in Italy last October, so it is likely that the new model will follow the same timing.

Whether the new Pro Max will also arrive here remains to be seen, but more importantly, how the battery will change — we take for granted that the supposed European model will not go up to 10,000 mAh.
