In the past few days, the Chinese company confirmed the debut in its homeland of OPPO A7 Pro Max, the first model of the new series and the brand’s first phone equipped with a super battery of 10,000 mAh.
A date is not yet set, but the launch is around the corner; in the meantime TENAA has certified another device of the series, probably the base model, with many details about the specifications.
The device in question is listed in the Chinese certifying body’s database under the code PYE110. As noted in the opening, the commercial name is missing, but the most plausible hypothesis is that this is the base OPPO A7 5G.
Images are not yet available, but the technical sheet is nearly complete: the phone sports a 6.57″ AMOLED display with Full HD resolution while under the hood runs an octa-core chipset up to 2.4 GHz. Unfortunately the page does not specify the manufacturer, so at the moment we don’t know if we’ll have a Dimensity or Snapdragon SoC.
The nominal battery capacity is 7,820 mAh, which should translate into 8,000 mAh – with 80W charging, but this information is the product of a leak. Not bad compared to the bigger brother OPPO A7 Pro Max and its 10,000 mAh.
For the camera department there is a 50 MP sensor accompanied by a secondary not specified; front-facing we have an 8 MP selfie camera.
Changes compared to OPPO A6 5G seem notable: the current model offers an LCD screen with HD resolution and a side fingerprint reader, 7,000 mAh of battery (6.550 mAh in Italy) and 45W charging. The entire camera setup (front and rear) seems identical and even the chipset shows the same clock frequency as the TENAA-certified phone.
In short, summing up, the Chinese company seems to have improved the standard version of the range — yet keeps some specs, perhaps to avoid impacting too much on the final price.
