Nubia is preparing to unveil a novel device, officially announcing the imminent launch of the first smartphone equipped with AI agents integrated at the system level.
The confirmation came via a post on the company’s Weibo profile, sparking immediate interest from smartphone enthusiasts.
The launch of the new terminal will take place during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), a globally significant event to be held in Shanghai from July 17 to 20, 2026.
The information that has emerged so far suggests that the new model will inherit the technological legacy of the Nubia M153, a device already known in China for implementing the Doubao assistance system, developed in collaboration with ByteDance.
However, the next smartphone will take another leap forward. According to indications provided by some well-connected insiders in the industry, the device will feature a deep integration of artificial intelligence, pushing beyond normal textual or vocal responses.
One of the most interesting aspects is the ability to support multi-platform autonomous operations. This translates into the possibility for the AI agent to manage complex tasks autonomously, processing data across several applications without requiring continual manual input.
As for the exact hardware outfitting, the manufacturer is still keeping tight-lipped about the final characteristics.
It is nevertheless possible to gauge the performance level of the newcomer by looking at the spec sheet of its direct predecessor. The M153 is equipped with the powerful processor Snapdragon 8 Elite, accompanied by a healthy 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
Such specifications imply that the new terminal will also rely on top-of-the-line components, essential to manage the heavy computational load required by automation processes.
All remaining information, including commercial details and actual availability for the various markets, will be fully revealed during the WAIC days.
