September could become a fairly crowded month: there have long been rumors of a particular concentration, with numerous Chinese brands ready to announce the latest news. However, it seems that Huawei intends to push further with a double event, one dedicated to Mate XT 2 and a second presentation for the Mate 90 family.
A reveal is in the cards, as usual Digital Chat Station reports: according to the Chinese insider, the tech giant has in mind an event in early September, where the absolute star of the show will be Huawei Mate XT 2. The brand’s new tri-foldable is expected with a new look that should completely shake things up.
The first Mate XT debuted with a single foldable screen in two points and a Z-closing mechanism. The result is a single 10.2″ panel that, once closed on itself, allows using a 6.4″ space.
The second chapter should arrive with a style similar to Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, thus with a display folding inward (again from 10.2″) and an external panel to use when the device is closed.
Beyond the new design, a renewed technical core is expected, driven by the upcoming Kirin 9050 Pro at 3 nm and powered by 6,000 mAh of battery (versus 5,600 mAh of the first model). It seems we will have new color options, named Mystic Black, Auspicious Red, Crimson Purple and Bright White.
Indeed, the end of September will be Huawei Mate 90’s turn, which should mirror what was seen with the Mate 80 family. So we should have a standard model accompanied by the Pro and Pro Max siblings, along with the luxury RS Ultimate Design.
Also in this case we should see the new Kirin 9050, silicon-carbon batteries between 6,800 mAh and 7,000 mAh, displays up to 6.9″ and top-tier cameras. The higher-end Pro Max and RS models would offer a dual telephoto periscope setup, while only the RS version would feature a 10X optical zoom.
