The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has made its first official appearance through an image published on the site of the Wireless Power Consortium, revealing the features of what is expected to be the next mid-to-high-end device from the South Korean company.
Identified by the model number SM-S741, this smartphone is expected to debut on the market between the end of August and the beginning of September 2026, following the release timeline set by its predecessor last year.
The FE line boasts a distinctive history, born in 2017 with the Galaxy Note FE. That experiment arose from the need to salvage the excellent design of the Galaxy Note 7, known for its serious battery overheating issues, reintroducing it to the public in a safe and revised form.
Since then, this particular family of smartphones has guaranteed access to a premium experience in exchange for a more affordable price.
On the aesthetic front, the consortium’s images confirm the presence of a rear semaphore-style camera module, clearly inspired by that of the Galaxy S26 standard, although the sensors appear positioned slightly differently and moved further toward the upper-left corner of the chassis.
As is customary for Fan Edition models, performance will be entrusted to a previous-generation processor to keep production costs down.
The company has indeed opted not to equip this device with the brand-new 2-nanometer Exynos 2600 chip, thereby excluding the use of the Gate-All-Around architecture and the Heat Pass Block system, a technology specifically designed to optimize the thermal dissipation of the flagship processor.
The smartphone will feature a large display Dynamic AMOLED 2X 6.7″, capable of reaching a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1900 nits.
The memory subsystem will rely on 8 GB of RAM, paired with three different non-expandable internal storage options: 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB.
The battery life will be supported by a battery module estimated between 4900 mAh and 5000 mAh, capable of receiving energy at high speed via the 45 W wired charging.
The most interesting detail to emerge from the WPC technical documentation concerns wireless charging, however. The Galaxy S26 FE will adopt the Qi 2 standard in the recent version 2.2.1, introduced in July of last year. This integration enables speeds of wireless charging up to 25 W and uses an enhanced magnetic attachment.
