The arrival of silicon-carbon batteries has raised the capacity bar. Battery Phones are no longer exclusive to the Rugged category and have become commonplace, with devices that have reached the 10,000 mAh (no negative impact on thickness and weight).
Among Chinese brands ready to follow the trend there will also be OPPO: the Asian company is expected to launch a mid-range A series equipped with a colossal battery.
OPPO will launch a mid-range from the A series with 10,000 mAh battery

According to the usual Digital Chat Station, the Chinese insider offered a brief overview of the specs, which seem appealing (at least on paper). As mentioned above, the smartphone would be part of the OPPO A series, a mid-range line also present in Italy — in March we saw the launch of 4 new models.
The autonomy would rely on a single-cell 9,700 mAh battery, i.e., 10,000 mAh of typical capacity. Under the hood would be a 4 nm chipset, though the manufacturer is not specified; on the Chinese social Weibo users have floated various solutions (such as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 or the Dimensity 7500 or 7400).
The phone would have an LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution and would rely on a sturdy chassis. For the price, around 2,000 yuan is being discussed, about €254 at the current exchange rate.
So we will have an accessible device: not a low-budget but not a high-end model either. Still, remember that someone has already shown that a top-tier 10,000 mAh flagship is possible: Honor WIN is a Gaming Phone with top-class specs while in the future of Xiaomi a Redmi Note 17 Pro Max with an enormous battery (according to leaks).
In short, if OPPO intends to conquer the Battery Phone segment today it will have to contend with particularly fierce rivals!
