OnePlus N6 will be an affordable Battery Phone with insane battery life

In the past few days the Chinese company confirmed the debut of OnePlus N6, smartphone that marks the return of the low-cost series — paused since 2024. For its comeback to the scene, Pete Lau’s company has envisioned an appealing device, characterized by a design that nods to the flagship range.

However, now we discover that style won’t be its only boast: on board there will be a giant battery and the brand promises an autonomy that is out of the ordinary.

OnePlus N6 with a giant battery and lots of autonomy

OnePlus Nord 6 has shown the way, with its 9,000 mAh, and now it’s the turn of the budget range: the new device will feature a solid 8,000 mAh (similar to the cousin Nord CE 6), establishing itself as a true Battery Phone.

But that’s not all, because the company promises up to 3 days of autonomy and a battery longevity of at least 7 years (that is, it will be able to retain over 75% of its original capacity even after all these years of use).

First sighting on Geekbench

Awaiting the launch event, scheduled for June 30 (but only for the Indian market), here are the first benchmarks. The low-cost device has been spotted on Geekbench with the code CPH2955, together with 6 GB of RAM and Android 16.

In terms of performance, OnePlus N6 scored 788 points in single-core and 1,993 points in multi-core. The important detail concerns the chipset’s features: it is a solution with 2 cores at 2.4 GHz and another 6 cores at 2 GHz. The profile matches that of the SoC Dimensity 6300 from MediaTek, built on 6 nm and equipped with a Mali-G57 MP2 GPU.

Unfortunately for now there are no other details on the specifications: there seems to be more secrecy for this budget phone than for the future OnePlus 16!
