The Asian giant has announced the release of One UI 8.5, the new version of its interface: the stable version, which debuted alongside the Galaxy S26 family, after a beta phase it will arrive on all supported devices. Samsung has also published the official list, which includes several flagship smartphones (at least for now).
The release of One UI 8.5 has already started in Korea, while regarding Europe, Hong Kong, India, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan, the distribution date has been set for May 11, with additional regions to follow.
Consequently, starting next Monday, the update will begin to appear in Italy as well. Clearly we expect an incremental rollout, so it’s likely you’ll need to be patient for a few days before receiving the update.
Regarding the supported smartphones, at the moment the list includes only flagship devices and excludes the Galaxy A series (at least with this first release).
We await further news regarding the next supported smartphones and tablets. The One UI 8.5 update represents a mid-cycle update, but that does not mean there won’t be news. However the real changes will come later: the launch of One UI 9 is expected during the summer, at the Unpacked event where the new foldables will also be announced.
