The latest Realme Number series climbs to four smartphones, with the addition of a new mid-range. Realme 16T is a device that echoes the lines of the rest of the family and presents itself as a kind of bridge between the Pro models and the standard one, adding a colossal battery. Here are all the details of this news, launched globally but for now limited to the Indian market.
The newcomer to the series borrows the aesthetics of Realme 16 Pro, with a square camera module and a layout that nods to OnePlus’ latest top-of-the-line model.
The front section houses a large 6.8″ LCD display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits; the fingerprint reader is positioned on the side while the device chassis is IP69K rated. Also on the list is military-grade certification: all in all, we are looking at a robust and elegant mid-range.
Powering everything is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, but the real standout is the extra-large battery. Realme 16T is the most capacious in the lineup, with its 8,000 mAh; fast charging goes up to 45W while reverse charging support (15W) allows you to use the big battery as a power bank to charge other devices.
The camera system is entrusted to a Sony IMX852 50 MP sensor, supported by a monochrome lens and a 16 MP selfie camera. The device supports LumaColor IMAGE imaging technology, along with several AI-based features – such as AI Portrait Glow, which analyzes lighting around subjects and applies effects to improve shots.
Inside the camera module there is a ring LED flash and a mini mirror, similar to Realme 16 vanilla. In this way the user can take selfies using the main camera, for selfies superior to those taken with the front sensor.
The new Realme 16T has debuted in India at a starting price of around €269 at the current exchange rate. At the moment it’s not known if it will arrive in Italy: generally the series is quite wide, even in our country; however for now only the two Pro models have been announced and the fate of the other models remains uncertain.
