The mid-range series from the Chinese company expands with two more models: OnePlus Nord CE 6 and CE 6 Lite are official globally, but for now they are limited to the Indian market. As we wait to find out Europe’s fate, let’s take a look at all the details, including specifications and price, with a design that nods to the brand’s latest flagship.
The main model is the OnePlus Nord CE 6, a device characterized by a look similar to that of OnePlus Nord 6, which in turn is inspired by the brand’s latest top-of-the-line flagship. The company has decided to pursue a unified aesthetic language, albeit with a few small differences in the style of the camera module.
On the technical side, the device is equipped with a flat AMOLED display 6.78″ diagonal with a 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a peak brightness up to 1,800 nits. The heart of the mid-range is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
Among the novelties is a massive 8,000 mAh battery, which confirms the brand’s new direction for OnePlus phones. Silicon-carbon units have become commonplace, and more models are leaning toward Battery Phone aspirations.
The company promises over two and a half days with a single charge; fast charging support of 80W and reverse charging of 27W are included, useful to use the device as a practical power bank.
The camera department is basic, with a 50 MP sensor (with optical stabilization) and a 2 MP monochrome lens — and a 32 MP selfie camera. Finally, the package is completed with IP69K rating and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability.
The price of the OnePlus Nord CE 6 starts at around €270 at current exchange rate (8/128 GB), while the higher variant (8/256 GB) costs around €297 at the exchange rate.
The little one in the family adopts a different aesthetic compared to its bigger brothers, closer to the previous Nord CE 4 Lite, with a vertical capsule camera. OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite comes across as the affordable alternative, yet it can still satisfy a few needs.
On board we have an LCD display of 6.72″ with Full HD resolution, which retains the 144 Hz of the Nord CE 6 version. The touch sampling at 240 Hz ensures good responsiveness, while the maximum brightness tops at 1,000 nits.
No Snapdragon: in this case we find Dimensity 7400 Apex, a customized version of MediaTek’s SoC, combined with 6/8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. The battery is no slouch either, with 7,000 mAh and up to 2 days of claimed autonomy by the brand, with 45W fast charging and 10W reverse charging.
Also in this case the cameras remain basic, with a 50 MP sensor and a secondary 2 MP lens (dedicated to depth of field).
OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite starts at around €189 at current exchange rate, up to around €234 for the top variant – 8/256 GB.
