Honor WIN 2: the Gaming Phone will yield to the allure of the Pro Max

After a lean period for the mobile gaming sector (where the only worthy representative was REDMAGIC), the category is now experiencing a new revival. Honor has begun to focus again on this segment by presenting a spectacular device, with flagship specs and a gigantic battery (10,000 mAh).

The Chinese company is ready to go for a triple release as well, although there will be a wait for some time. However the leaks are enticing, and it seems that the Honor WIN 2 series will come in three, with an all-new Pro Max version.

According to the insider Digital Chat Station, the gaming phone whose details have leaked will be the flagship model of the family. The smartphone is expected to debut as Honor WIN 2 Pro or Pro Max and will follow in the wake of the first chapter. On board is expected the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, Qualcomm’s future flagship chipset, powered by a massive battery of 10,000 mAh.

There will also be a liquid cooling system with a vapor chamber and an integrated fan to further improve temperatures. Rumors point to a wide 6.89in display with 2K resolution, for a top-tier gaming experience.

According to the insider, there would also be the Honor WIN 2 standard: the younger brother would have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on his side, but for now nothing else has emerged. Finally, to close the series, we should also have a third smartphone — this time with Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 1.5K display with a high refresh rate.

Speaking of the debut is still premature, given that the launch is expected by the end of the year, probably in December (as the current WIN and WIN RT). The wait will be long, but in the meantime Honor WIN Turbo will arrive: the release is set for May 29 and this time it will be a gaming mid-range, with a Dimensity chip and a 10,000 mAh battery, without a cooling fan.
