From 0 to 300 km/h in SUV form: Xiaomi YU7 GT, arriving in May

The Beijing Auto Show 2026 was the stage for the announcement of the official debut of Xiaomi YU7 GT, scheduled for the end of May. The new model from the automotive division presents itself as the SUV variant of the highly powerful Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, inheriting its performance-oriented approach but adapting it to a structure designed for long journeys and everyday versatility.

Characterized by an aggressive design and a technical specs sheet that challenges traditional luxury brands, Xiaomi YU7 GT is not just a style exercise, but a concentrate of engineering. Equipped with a dual-motor system, the car develops a combined power that reaches the 990 horsepower (738 kW), enabling a top speed of 300 km/h.

Despite these track-focused performances (remember that the company chose the Nürburgring circuit as a test track), the vehicle delivers a range of 705 km according to the CLTC cycle, ensuring excellent coverage for long journeys. Braking safety and efficiency are entrusted to a Brembo carboceramic braking system with energy recovery.

From the design and dimensions standpoint, the YU7 GT makes a statement with a length of over five meters and a wheelbase of three meters, offering a spacious cabin wrapped in an aesthetic inspired by wide-body sports cars. The front is dominated by the characteristic teardrop headlights and by a new front splitter, while the side profile adopts low-drag solutions with flush door handles and frameless mirrors.

The entire car body is traversed by nineteen air intakes connected to ten channels of flow, a technical solution that optimizes cooling and stability at high speeds. One of the most evident novelties is the introduction of the Cherry Red color, a bright and elegant shade.

The SUV can be equipped with tires mounted on 21 or 22-inch wheels and exclusive details such as the 24K carbon fiber badge.

The launch of the Xiaomi YU7 GT is set for the end of May, with an estimated price between 450,000 and 500,000 yuan (about 56,000 – 62,000 euros at the exchange rate). Remember that the standard YU7 standard was launched in China last year, as the company’s first electric SUV.
