Redmi Turbo 6 Max Could Leave Everyone Speechless With Its 12,000 mAh

This year Xiaomi launched Redmi Turbo 5 Max, a behemoth with a 9,000 mAh battery. For the first time, the Turbo lineup received a Max version and the novelty arrived here with the rebrand Redmi Turbo 5 Max (but cut to 8,500 mAh).

The signal from the Chinese company is clear: the brand intends to invest in new silicon-carbon batteries and will move forward with increasingly powerful units. The next target? A whopping 12,000 mAh, which could debut on the upcoming Redmi Turbo 6 Max.

The novelty was revealed by the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station: Redmi would be internally testing a smartphone with a next-generation 12,000 mAh battery. This silicon-carbon unit would feature a single high-silicon-content cell, capable of achieving higher energy density but without negative impact on the phone’s thickness.

According to the leaker, Xiaomi’s future would include batteries with even greater capacity, using newly conceived materials — currently being tested in the manufacturer’s laboratories.

Returning to the 12,000 mAh beast, it would be a Redmi phone and many are pointing toward the upcoming Redmi Turbo 6 Max; the same insider claims the device would have a high-performance chipset, so we are talking about a mid-to-high-end model.

The Redmi Note and Redmi K Series

Before seeing the 12,000 mAh device, we will have to wait quite a bit, at least until early 2027. This does not mean Xiaomi will leave things to chance, as we have also seen from previous rumors.

The first true Battery Phone of the new generation should be Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, expected in China in August with a 10,000 mAh battery.

Moreover the leaks talk of at least 3 smartphones around 10,000 mAh, including phones from the flagship Redmi K series. The brand’s new flagships are expected to debut in October, according to the usual timeline.
