As is tradition, the brand’s flagship series will receive a mid-range version: Xiaomi 17T e 17T Pro should arrive earlier than usual—in September—with an early launch perhaps as soon as May. While we await official details, we are gathering for you all the rumors regarding the new smartphones and we now have nearly a complete overview.
The final piece of the puzzle is added thanks to Geekbench, which “confirms” the chipset that will power the base model of the new series: here’s what we can expect, together with a comparison with the features of the bigger brother.
The phone appeared on the benchmark platform with the code 2602DPT53G: the most plausible hypothesis is that it is the Xiaomi 17T standard, arriving together with the Pro variant. In the past weeks, one of the official site’s support pages published the device names, confirming their existence and upcoming debut.
Returning to Geekbench, the smartphone appears with 12 GB of RAM, Android 16 and the SoC Dimensity 8500 — characterized by a main core up to 3.40 GHz. These are details in line with previous rumors, which already see the cited chipset in the customized “Ultra” version.
Below you will find an overview of the upcoming phones’ specifications, clearly stemming from leaks and therefore to be taken with caution. The base of the Xiaomi 17T Pro would be the new Redmi K90 Max, a device that this year inherits the role of the usual Redmi K Ultra, but with some differences.
The base Xiaomi 17T would have some compromises and a lower price; however interesting details have emerged, including wireless charging support (so far limited to the Pro sibling).
