Recently Vivo announced its new Camera Phone for the Chinese market, with a major novelty for us in the West as well. For the first time the Ultra model will arrive in Global version and will be available in European countries, including Italy. Good news that is further enhanced thanks to a certification, which reveals how much battery is reserved for our vivo X300 Ultra.
The premises are the usual: for cost and safety reasons, the extra-large batteries so popular in China often arrive trimmed down in Europe (we discussed this in this in-depth article). Consequently it is always a gamble when looking at new devices.
It must be said that lately things have improved a lot: for example, POCO X8 Pro Max arrived in Italy with 8.500 mAh, compared to 9.000 mAh of the Chinese twin Redmi Turbo 5 Max.
Returning to vivo X300 Ultra, the device has received the EPREL label EPREL — that is, the new European energy certification for smartphones and tablets, which clearly shows both battery life and energy efficiency. The phone, model V2562, is equipped with a 6,395 mAh battery which should translate into a nominal capacity of 6,500 mAh.
This is a slightly smaller capacity than the Chinese counterpart, but by very little since the Camera Phone announced in the homeland debuted with 6,600 mAh.
Regarding the other details, the EU certification shows a repairability rating of C, a drop resistance of type B, and the IP68 rating against water and dust. Finally the phone is able to withstand 1,200 charging cycles before the battery reaches 80% of its initial capacity.
We note that vivo X300 Ultra will be available in Italy from April 16: however you can already sign up to receive a discount and — what is very important — the photography kit that includes various accessories (including a grip with a physical button and a 400 mm teleconverter).
