In recent hours there has been a twist in Redmi’s lineup: the device known up to now as the K90 Ultra will debut under a new name, in line with the novelties of Xiaomi’s latest devices.

The mysterious smartphone with an integrated cooling fan has been confirmed: Redmi K90 Max will arrive during the month of April with powerful specifications and a particular focus on gaming. Although the launch is planned for China, it could be of considerable interest to us in the West, as it could be our Xiaomi 17T Pro.

So we bid farewell to the Ultra model and welcome Redmi K90 Max: all the rumors seen so far would refer to this device, now officially confirmed also by Lei Jun’s company. The current Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max have focused on audio, with the latter equipped with a Bose speaker mounted on the back.

In the case of the next addition to the series, the focus is on gaming with an integrated 18.1 mm fan and a airflow management system that improves cooling efficiency by up to 40%. This is the extent to which you can achieve a temperature drop of up to 10°C in just 100 seconds, according to the company. All of this with a low-noise experience (32 dB).

Meanwhile Redmi has unveiled the design of the smartphone in the Space Silver color. Despite the Gaming Phone nature, Redmi K90 Max presents a sober and elegant style, without aggressive or futuristic elements. The same fan is concealed behind a grille and almost looks like a speaker.

Below is an overview of the specifications leaked so far. Usually Redmi Ultra models arrive in Global version as part of the Xiaomi T series, with some design and technical sheet changes. The new smartphone will probably serve as the base for Xiaomi 17T Pro, although insiders agree that the international version will miss the integrated fan.
