In March, the Chinese company launched in Italy the new Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+, but internationally the series doesn’t stop at these two devices. The base version Realme 16 aims to offer perfect selfies thanks to a practical “mirror” rear, while the new Realme 16T has been spotted on Geekbench and it seems it will join the family in the coming weeks.
The device surfaced on the benchmark platform under the code RMX5268 and scores of 784 and 2,007, respectively in single-core and multi-core. Based on what has emerged, the phone would be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, an octa-core solution with a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz and Mali G57 MC2 graphics. The tests include 8 GB of RAM while the software is Android 16 – we assume the Realme UI proprietary interface.
The smartphone would have been identified as Realme 16T, the upcoming addition to the mid-range series. According to rumors, the device will be launched in the colors Starlight Red, Starlight Black and Aurora Green, with configurations of 6/128 GB and 8/256 GB.
Details on the design are missing, so it’s not known whether we will have a likeness to Realme 16 Pro/Pro+ (with squared camera) or to Realme 16, characterized by a horizontal module in iPhone Air style.
Taking a step back, the chipset that emerged thanks to Geekbench seems to be a step back compared to the previous 15T (driven by the Dimensity 6400). Instead the future model seems to draw heavily from the old 14T, also equipped with the Dimensity 6300.
Both Realme 14 and 14T have been launched in Italy, so it’s not to be ruled out that the new generation of mid-range could also make an appearance here. Remember that the company skipped the debut of the Realme 15 family in Italy, which is why we have witnessed a generational leap.
