OPPO Find X10: An Increasingly Capable Camera Phone — How the Camera System Will Change

There’s still quite a bit of time before the debut of the brand’s next flagship series, yet rumors are coming in almost nonstop. The latest news point toward OPPO Find X10, the standard model of the lineup: although it will be the “small” one of the family, there are rumors of a truly Camera Phone setup, with improvements for both the main sensor and the telephoto lens.

OPPO Find X10 Aims to Become a Camera Phone, Far More Than the ‘Small’ One in the Series

OPPO Find X9

The OPPO Find X10 series is expected for the month of October in China and this time could include three smartphones: the base device, the Pro variant (as we are used to) and the new addition Pro Max. The latest news comes from the usual insider Digital Chat Station, and focuses mainly on the standard model.

The Chinese leaker talks about a real upheaval for the camera department: the current 50 MP main sensor would be replaced by a 200 MP unit, while the company would be testing two configurations for the telephoto periscopic (with 3X optical zoom).

One version would have a 200 MP telephoto, the same Samsung HP5 seen on board the OPPO Find X9 Pro; alternatively, there would be a brand-new 64 MP sensor. So the choice would be between a dual 200 MP configuration (with a widely tested sensor) or 200 + 64 MP with a more recent solution.

In either case we assume the presence of an ultra-wide lens to complete the setup. Meanwhile, another insider adds details on battery and display: OPPO Find X10 would be equipped with a flat 6.59″ diagonal display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, all powered by a hefty 8,000 mAh battery.

For the chipset there are whispers of the new Dimensity 9500+, an enhanced version of the current MediaTek flagship SoC.

What Will Change with OPPO Find X10 Pro and Pro Max

The standard model aims to become a real Camera Phone while OPPO Find X10 Pro should introduce some improvements across the board. According to the leaks so far, the elder brother would have the future Dimensity 9600, powered by a 8,500 mAh battery with 100W charging and in a larger form factor, with a display of 6.78″.

Moving on to OPPO Find X10 Pro Max, unfortunately there aren’t many details: it’s the first time the series adopts this nomenclature, clearly inspired by Cupertino’s Pro Max models and the latest Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. We take for granted the presence of the new flagship Dimensity, but to learn more about the other features we will have to wait.
