Overheating historically represents one of the main obstacles to performance for gaming-focused mobile devices. When hardware components are pushed to the maximum of their capabilities, even the most expensive models tend to slow down to avoid damage, compromising the smoothness of the experience.
Until recently, only a handful of manufacturers offered advanced active cooling solutions. Today the situation changes thanks to Infinix, which with the launch of the new GT 50 Pro introduces liquid cooling inspired by the world of desktop PCs.

Instead of merely increasing the size of the classic steam chamber, Infinix has integrated a real liquid cooling circuit inside the smartphone. The device uses a ceramic micro-pump based on piezoelectric technology, capable of pushing the coolant through precision channels at a speed of 6.5 ml per minute.
This flow covers all the main internal heat sources and can even be observed in action thanks to a transparent window placed on the rear case.
For those who need even more extreme performance, it is possible to connect an external accessory, the GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0, which adds 12 W of thermoelectric cooling.
A feature of great interest is the wireless bypass charging: energy is sent directly to the processor bypassing the battery, a choice that prevents the accumulation of additional heat and preserves the longevity of the energy cell over time.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, capable of reaching frequencies up to 3.25 GHz. This computing power is paired with a particularly sizeable battery of 6500 mAh, designed to ensure long gaming sessions without the need to plug in frequently.
The screen features a 6.78″ panel with a 1.5K resolution, characterized by a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
Physical controls and software integration
The Pressure-Sense GT Trigger system uses two mechanical triggers that provide feedback comparable to console controllers. These buttons support complex inputs and swipes, offering up to four adjustable mapping points per trigger and recognizing ten different pressure levels.
The triggers can also be used for convenient external-to-games shortcuts, such as activating the AI Folax assistant or instantly capturing screenshots.
Artificial intelligence permeates the entire XOS 16 software, introducing features such as AI Smart Trigger to automate move combinations and AI Magic Voice Changer to alter voice in team chats.
Even the photography department benefits from software optimizations, combining a 50 MP main sensor with optical stabilization and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle with processing AI RAW.
The brand expands the entire ecosystem
The launch of this smartphone sits within a broader strategy that sees the birth of the GT Ecosystem. The lineup includes the new earbuds GTBUDS 5 with spatial audio Dolby Atmos, the smartwatch GTWATCH 5 Pro for quick notification management, and a game controller with improved haptic feedback coming soon.
The manufacturer also promises fairly long support, pledging 3 years of operating system updates and 5 years of security patches.
Although official pricing has not yet been announced, a decidedly competitive positioning is expected in Southeast Asian markets, in Indonesia and in other selected regions. Consumers will be able to choose the device in three color variants: Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier.
