Huawei wants to challenge Honor Power, with its 10,000 mAh rival

Despite Huawei’s pioneering strategies (the world’s first tri-foldable is Mate XT), the Chinese tech giant is maintaining a cautious approach on the battery front. The mid-range has reached 8,500 mAh with Enjoy 90 Pro Max, while the top range has pushed up to 6,000 mAh with Mate 80 Pro Max.

High-capacity batteries, but nothing comparable to the beasts that rivals like Honor, Realme and Xiaomi are rolling out. Things could change in the coming months, at least according to the latest rumors. Huawei would be working on its Battery Phone and clearly the goal is to reach 10,000 mAh!

Honor has already rolled out the models Power 2 and WIN, both from 10,000 mAh; in the future of the Chinese company there could even be 15,000 mAh, an absurd capacity for a traditional phone.

Realme has unveiled P4 Power (also 10,000 mAh) while Xiaomi has reached 8,500 mAh with Redmi and POCO. In short, the more months pass, the more the bar shifts toward Battery Phones, and Huawei will not be an exception.

The company is reportedly testing a 10,000 mAh solution intended for a mid-range smartphone. Hard not to picture the Honor Power series, the first lineup capable of bringing these extra-large batteries into the mid-range. Huawei’s initial experiments will probably aim at the Enjoy series, before moving to Nova models or devices in the Pura and Mate families.
