ECOVACS DEEBOT X12 official: it’s the first robot with “pre-treatment” of stains

We attended the launch event of the new ECOVACS DEEBOT X12 series, composed of two premium vacuum robots designed to simplify floor care. The manufacturer’s latest innovation is called FocusJet, introduced for the first time in the sector: it is a system designed to pre-treat and dissolve the most stubborn stains before the roller passes.

This makes it possible to easily remove dry residues in the kitchen or stubborn streaks, in short all those typical situations that often require manual intervention.

The ECOVACS DEEBOT X12 line debuts in two versions, OmniCyclone and Pro Omni: both benefit from the new FocusJet technology, a unique feature on the market. As we already hinted at in the opening, this is a function that intervenes before washing by softening and dissolving stubborn dirt – a type that usually requires a bit of elbow grease.

Let’s talk about dry stains or particularly difficult crusted residues: the robot emits cross-pattern water jets in an arc-shaped form with pressure up to 46,000 Pa, to pre-soften the dirt. The next phase features the updated OZMO ROLLER 3.0, which completes cleaning with a high-speed pass and a grid-like movement.

Moreover, FocusJet works with two operating modes: you can manually manage specific areas via the ECOVACS Home app or take advantage of automatic detection.

The washing power of the new premium robot is enhanced by the presence of a new 27 cm roller, 50% longer than its predecessors. This allows the DEEBOT X12 to cover a larger portion of floor with each pass, further optimizing floor care.

No problem with carpets, thanks to the automatic roller lift function (up to 15 mm). In addition, the robot deploys a plastic cover that physically separates the wet roller from the carpet fibers, avoiding even the slightest damp contact.

Thanks to the TruEdge 3.0 Extreme technology – which uses a roller on an air cushion to adapt to the edge in real time – cleaning along walls and near furniture is impeccable. The TruEdge 3D 2.0 sensor for room mapping and obstacle recognition completes the setup (useful also in handling irregular edges).

On the suction side, the BLAST system allows up to 22 L/s of airflow and 22,000 Pa of power. All of this is supported by the ZeroTangle 4.0 technology, which combines a main brush designed to guide hair into the suction path, a side airflow fan and a wide-radius dual-bearing structure, reducing hair tangles.

In terms of autonomy, the DEEBOT X12 series includes the intelligent and ultra-fast PowerBoost Charging Plus system, which restores 13% of the battery in 3 minutes. In adaptive charging mode, this solution supports continuous operation designed also for very large environments, with coverage indicated beyond 1,000 m², without interrupting cleaning.

The new robots support using two different cleaning solutions, one for standard cleaning and one with a higher-efficacy formula (useful in areas typically dirtier, such as kitchens and dining rooms). Mobility is also improved, thanks to the TruePass Adaptive all-mechanical traction system, to effortlessly overcome single thresholds up to 2.4 cm and dual continuous steps up to 4 cm.

Completing the picture are the AIVI 3D 4.0 Omni-approach navigation system and AGENT YIKO 2.0, an advanced version of the AI-powered voice assistant developed by ECOVACS.

Both models are equipped with OMNI all-in-one stations for a complete, all-around experience – and almost entirely hands-free. DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone integrates the proprietary PureCyclone 2.0 Auto-empty technology, which ensures a suction loss less than % during emptying and superior filtration.

Bagless design eliminates waste while the new Quick-clean Scraper Ring allows you to remove residual dust from the interior walls with a single gesture, without direct contact with the dirt.

Clearly the station also handles roller washing, thanks to the Fresh-flow Power Washing system: this uses heated clean water sprayed directly onto the mop with boosted pressure to facilitate the removal of encrusted dirt, while the wastewater is rapidly eliminated to limit cross-contamination. An independent self-cleaning structure, with a high-speed propeller up to 5,000 rpm, agitates sediments to reduce residues and limit maintenance interventions.

Availability and prices

The new DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone debuts in Italy from April 16, at a price of 1.399€ on Amazon and MediaWorld. Until April 29 it’s possible to purchase the robot with a discount of 150€ (on both sales channels). The DEEBOT X12 Pro Omni model also arrives on the same day, at a price of 1.199€ on Amazon and soon also from Unieuro.
