POCO C85x is the new endurance champion, with 6,300 mAh and 5G

While anticipation for the X8 series grows ahead of the March 17 launch, the brand has decided to surprise everyone by officially announcing a new protagonist in the entry-level tier. POCO C85x 5G makes its debut with a precise mission: to offer the speed of next-generation networks at a price that challenges the 100€ threshold, even if for the moment it is a low-cost announced in India.

POCO C85x 5G: all you need to know about specs, price and release of Xiaomi’s new mid-range

The latest addition to POCO’s budget lineup arrives with a design that nods to the upcoming X8 Pro and Pro Max (the launch of which is scheduled for March 17). We have a capsule-style camera module with a dual sensor, a flat screen, straight edges and an essential look.

However, the budget nature of POCO C85x 5G becomes evident when looking at the display, a wide 6.9″ diagonal solution but equipped with an anachronistic waterdrop notch. The rest of the features also point to the low-cost segment with the Unisoc T8300 chipset and modest memory options (4/64 GB and 4/128 GB), a 32 MP camera and the support for 15W charging.

The battery is a 6,300 mAh unit: with a setup like this it should ensure excellent autonomy (at least on paper).

The new budget POCO C85x 5G was launched in India in black, green and gold colors, with a starting price of around €102 at the current exchange rate (for the 4/64 GB version). It could be a good 5G entry-level for the Italian market: POCO C85 4G arrived here last September while C85 5G is present as Redmi 15C 5G.
