As the speculation about the supposed Max model intensifies (after the sighting at the MWC), one of the Chinese brand’s executives has decided to take the reins. There is no vivo X300 Max, or more precisely the device is indeed on track to arrive but will be announced with a name in line with the series tradition, namely vivo X300s.
The previous X200s was launched last April: for several generations the brand’s main lineup has been enriched with a device bearing the “s” suffix, and the current series will not be an exception.
No Max, then, but vivo X300s: the confirmation comes from the company itself, with official images confirming various details. Furthermore, the “s” would stand for Supermax and would represent an unprecedented upgrade in every regard, to say the least.
The smartphone features a large circular camera module, straight edges and a flat display with a central punch-hole. It also supports wireless charging, while the display is a BOE Q10+ 6.78″ diagonal, with a 144 Hz refresh rate and circularly polarized light technology 2.0.
On board there is a pair of 1511-type symmetric speakers, i.e., 15 mm long and 11 mm wide: the larger dimensions allow moving more air, producing a louder sound, deeper bass and less distortion at high volumes compared to smaller standard speakers.
The teasers also confirm a new custom 4D vibration motor, capable of delivering improved haptic feedback (especially during use of certain games). Finally, vivo X300s offers a main camera of 200 MP with Zeiss optics.
Below you will find an overview of the specifications leaked so far; the device does not yet have a date but it is likely that the launch will take place during the month of March. For now, the debut is said to be in China and there are currently no details on a possible Global launch.
