While our eyes are on the latest from MWC (there’s also vivo X300 Ultra) the Chinese company is preparing to change the cards on the table with its upcoming tablet. The future vivo Pad 6 Pro will mark a turning point: abandoning MediaTek solutions in favor of the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Here are all the rumors leaked recently, both about the new chipset and the other improvements.
At the moment, details about the upcoming vivo Pad 6 Pro are still fairly sparse, yet they allow us to have a clear overview right away. The design has not been revealed by leaks nor officially, but according to the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station the tablet will switch to Qualcomm.
After several generations with MediaTek – Pad 5 Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 9400 – the new model should move to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the latest flagship SoC from the American chipmaker. Among other additions there would also be a larger battery (from 12,050 mAh to 13,000 mAh) and more powerful charging, perhaps up to 90W.
The display should be slightly larger, a 13.2″ unit with a high refresh rate, up to 144 Hz. No changes are reported on the camera front, at least from early rumors: it seems we’ll again find a 13 MP main sensor and an 8 MP for video calls.
Below you’ll find an initial draft of the specifications, awaiting more details. The launch of the vivo Pad 6 Pro is expected to take place during the month of March, but for now there is silence from the Chinese company.
