POCO X8 Pro Max Live: How the New Dynamic Ring LEDs Work

With exactly one week to go until the launch of Xiaomi’s new smartphones, rumors continue unabated – even though the picture is now quite clear. POCO X8 Pro Max has been spotted in the wild: the shots show the phone’s design (which we already know very well) and give us a closer look at the new rear Dynamic Ring LED system, integrated around the camera.

Both the POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max are equipped with a Dynamic Ring with multicolor LEDs, positioned around the camera sensors. The rings light up in various colors and are customizable, a neat touch that nods to the world of gaming. If you’ve been “burned” by the POCO F7’s green stripe — which IS NOT an LED — you can opt for one of the two models in the X8 family.

The clip above shows the lighting effects in action: in this case we are dealing with a pulsating light, but it9s likely that a broader range of effects will be possible. As seen in the video, the phone lets you choose a palette of colors. In the meantime there are also some live shots: the new POCO seems particularly imposing, and there are rumors of a display as large as 6.83 .
