The company behind Pete Lau would be looking to double its tablet offering: in the coming months we should witness the debut of OnePlus Pad 4, but the flagship model should be in good company. Rumors also point to a possible OnePlus Pad Mini, a compact version that targets a growing demand from users.
As for the main model, clearly we are looking at a flagship tablet. The device will arrive in China as OnePlus Pad 3 Pro while internationally there is a generational gap: last year the Chinese Pad 2 Pro became Pad 3 Global, so it is very likely that the new arrival will come to us as OnePlus Pad 4.
Nomi a parte, Digital Chat Station reveals a few more details about the specs. The leaker talks about a solution in line with the predecessor, equipped with a display of 13.2-inch diagonal (presumably with 3.4K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate).
No compromises, but a flagship powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5X and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage, all fueled by a massive battery (perhaps around 12,140 mAh, like the previous model). The insider reports at least two colors, Titanium and Green.
Note that the OnePlus tablet should also be a rebrand of the unreleased OPPO Pad 5 Pro. Again, this is not a certainty but a hypothesis based on what happened last year.
The rumors continue with OnePlus Pad Mini, the company’s first compact tablet. The name is not yet confirmed so it could change in the final version. The device would have smaller dimensions, with a display of 8.8-inch diagonal; however, the performance would be entrusted to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, so we should have a solid SoC.
There would also be a version with a matte display – to improve visibility and feedback – but there are no further details. Finally, the two tablets should not be launched together: Pad 3 Pro (or Pad 4) is expected first, perhaps in April together with the OnePlus 15T – in China.
